Dr. Bose Road To Home:
The Legacy Behind the Ride
The Road to Home program exists thanks to a generous bequest from the late Dr. Bireswar Bose, a beloved surgeon and community leader at the Barrhead Healthcare Centre. Dr. Bose dedicated his life to improving rural healthcare in North Central Alberta. In 2020, his estate gifted funding to support cancer patients in Barrhead and surrounding areas with safe, reliable transportation to and from cancer treatment centers.
His vision continues through the work of our volunteer drivers and the patients they serve—each ride a tribute to his compassion and commitment.
