A Handcrafted Holiday Treasure for a Good Cause
The Barrhead Healthcare Centre Auxiliary is delighted to announce that the Barrhead Country Quilters have generously donated a one-of-a-kind holiday-themed quilt for our 2024 Holiday Raffle. This festive quilt—lovingly titled Jingle All The Way—is a stunning example of artistry, teamwork, and local generosity.
🧵 Created just for us, the quilt was stitched with care from fabric donated by Betty Jean Thompson. The blocks were cut by Karen Bohn Kyppers, then sewn by members of the Barrhead Country Quilters. Once the patchwork was completed, Betty Jean and Karen assembled and quilted the final piece together.
The result? A beautiful heirloom-quality quilt that radiates holiday warmth and will bring joy for generations to come.
Designed in rich reds, deep greens, and seasonal prints, the Jingle All The Way quilt features rows of charming Christmas stockings, bows, evergreens, and holly berries, all carefully pieced across a black background. Made from 100% high-quality cotton, this quilt is both cozy and durable.

Who Are The Barrhead Country Quilters?
The Barrhead Country Quilters are a welcoming, talented group of local crafters who meet monthly at St. Anne’s Parish for “Sew Days.” Members spend the day working on their quilting projects in a distraction-free, creative space.
Meetings include updates on quilting retreats, local quilt shows, and new finds from Alberta’s quilting stores. Most importantly, members share the stories behind their quilts—turning fabric into memories.
