A Cozy Start to the Season: Auxiliary Christmas Gathering at De Herdt Gardens
In early December 2024, the Barrhead Healthcare Centre Auxiliary gathered to celebrate the season at De Herdt Gardens, a one-of-a-kind garden center in Barrhead known for more than just plants. With its welcoming indoor patio, artisan bakery, and specialty lattes, it offered the perfect atmosphere for connection and cheer.
Guests were treated to fresh European baking from Elieneke’s Bakeshop, a local favorite known for scratch-made pastries and chocolates crafted with local ingredients. Surrounded by twinkling lights, floral décor, and good company, the afternoon was a beautiful way to close the year.
And the Winner’s Are…
The event also included the draw for our 2024 Holiday Raffle, featuring a handcrafted quilt by the Barrhead Country Quilters and a festive gift basket. This year, both winners happened to be Auxiliary members—a quiet nod to the team’s unwavering support, even when it means purchasing leftover tickets to help meet our fundraising goals.
